collard greens - watch the video to see (fresh and clean, discard any yellowish or spoiled parts)
Instructions
Selecting Collard Greens: Choose fresh and clean collard greens with minimal wastage. Avoid any that have been harvested too long ago as they might be spoiled.
Inspecting Each Leaf: Separate the collard greens one by one, discarding any that are yellowish or appear spoiled.
Prepping for Chopping: Align the collard greens to save time and ease the chopping process. Snip off unwanted parts, including mud or roots.
Washing: Wash the collard greens thoroughly under running water, preferably before snipping if they are very dirty to avoid cross-contamination.
Chopping: Discard the exposed stems attached to the roots as they are stiff and hard. Chop the collard greens into desired sizes.
