Instructions

  1. Prepare Beef Mince Filling: Heat 2 tsp cooking oil in a frying pan. Add chopped onion and sauté until translucent. Add beef mince and cook until it changes color. Stir in ginger garlic paste, Himalayan pink salt, black pepper powder, and red chili powder. Cook on medium flame for 1-2 minutes. Add finely chopped carrot and capsicum, mix well, cover and cook on low flame for 4-5 minutes. Then increase flame and cook until the mixture dries up. Remove from heat and let it cool.
  2. Prepare Napa Cabbage Leaves: Heat water in a saucepan. Blanch Napa cabbage leaves by dipping them in hot water for 30 seconds. Remove leaves and carefully remove the stems.
  3. Assemble Cabbage Rolls: Place a portion of the cooled beef filling on each Napa cabbage leaf and fold to form rolls. This recipe makes approximately 14-16 rolls.
  4. Cook Cabbage Rolls: Heat 1 tsp cooking oil on a griddle or frying pan. Fry the cabbage rolls on medium flame, turning to cook both sides until golden brown.
  5. Prepare Hot Dipping Sauce: In a saucepan, heat 1 tsp cooking oil. Add chopped garlic and onion, fry until light golden. Add water, soy sauce, hot sauce, tomato paste, chicken powder, Himalayan pink salt, chili oil, and sugar. Mix well. In a separate bowl, dissolve cornflour in 2 tbsp water, then add to the saucepan. Stir and cook until the sauce thickens. Remove from heat.
  6. Serve: Sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped spring onion leaves over the sauce. Serve the hot dipping sauce alongside the fried Napa cabbage rolls.
