Ingredients

  1. fried onion - 30g (fried)
  2. yogurt - 1/2 cup
  3. green chillies - 5-6
  4. Olper’s Cream - 3/4 cup
  5. cooking oil - 1/4 cup
  6. onion - 1 medium (diced)
  7. capsicum - 1 medium (diced)
  8. beef mince - 500g (hand chopped)
  9. ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp (crushed)
  10. tomato puree - 2 medium
  11. Himalayan pink salt - 1 tsp (or to taste)
  12. red chilli - 1 tsp (crushed)
  13. cumin seeds - 1/2 tbsp (roasted & crushed)
  14. coriander seeds - 1/2 tbsp (roasted & crushed)
  15. turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  16. garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp
  17. water - 1/2 cup (or as required)
  18. dried fenugreek leaves - 1/2 tbsp (kasuri methi)
  19. black pepper - 1/2 tsp (crushed)
  20. lemon juice - 1 tbsp
  21. fresh coriander - watch the video to see (chopped, for mixing and garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare blended mixture: In a jug, add fried onion, yogurt, green chillies, and Olper’s Cream. Blend well and set aside.
  2. Sauté onion and capsicum: In a wok, heat cooking oil. Add diced onion and capsicum and sauté for 1 minute. Set aside.
  3. Cook beef mince: In the same cooking oil, add beef mince and mix well until it changes color.
  4. Add ginger garlic paste: Add crushed ginger garlic paste, mix well, and cook on medium flame for 4-5 minutes.
  5. Add spices and tomato puree: Add tomato puree, Himalayan pink salt, crushed red chilli, roasted and crushed cumin seeds, coriander seeds, turmeric powder, and garam masala powder. Mix well and cook on medium flame until oil separates.
  6. Simmer with water: Add water, mix well, cover, and cook on low flame for 10-15 minutes. Then increase flame to high and cook until water dries up.
  7. Add blended cream mixture: On low flame, add the blended yogurt and cream mixture. Mix well and cook on medium flame for 2-3 minutes. Cover and cook on medium flame for 6-8 minutes.
  8. Finish with final seasonings and garnish: Add dried fenugreek leaves, crushed black pepper, and lemon juice. Mix well. Add sautéed onion, capsicum, and fresh coriander. Mix thoroughly. Garnish with fresh coriander and serve.
