Ingredients

  1. oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
  2. light soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  3. dark soy sauce - 1 teaspoon
  4. sugar - 1 teaspoon
  5. white pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  6. water - 4 ounces
  7. cornstarch - 2 teaspoons
  8. toasted sesame oil - watch the video to see (a few drops)

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a bowl, combine one tablespoon of oyster sauce, one tablespoon of light soy sauce, one teaspoon of dark soy sauce, one teaspoon of sugar, a quarter teaspoon of white pepper, four ounces of water, and two teaspoons of cornstarch.
  2. Cook the Sauce: Pour the sauce into a wok or pan over medium heat. Then, turn the heat to low.
  3. Thicken the Sauce: While continuously stirring, thicken the sauce on low heat. Water helps thin out the gravy and control the consistency.
  4. Final Touch: When the thickness is to your liking, turn off the heat and add a few drops of toasted sesame oil.
