Instructions
Prepare beans: Soak black beans overnight. Rinse well until water runs clear.
Cook beans: Cook beans in a pressure cooker with water, salt, bay leaves, onion, and garlic for 25 minutes on low pressure. If using a pot, simmer for about 1.5 hours or until tender.
Store: Drain beans, removing bay leaves. Transfer to a container, label, and let cool before refrigerating.
