Ingredients

  1. chicken wings - 600 g (about 600 grams)
  2. Greek style yogurt - 1/2 cup (natural, unsweetened)
  3. lemon juice - 2 tbsp (freshly squeezed)
  4. garam masala - 2 tsp
  5. Kashmiri red chili powder - 2 tbsp
  6. ground turmeric - 1/2 tsp
  7. ground fenugreek (methi) - 1 tsp
  8. salt - 2 tsp
  9. oil - 2 tbsp (any neutral oil)
  10. minced garlic - 1 tbsp (fresh)
  11. minced ginger - 1 tbsp (fresh)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the marinade: In a large bowl, combine Greek yogurt, lemon juice, garam masala, Kashmiri red chili powder, ground turmeric, ground fenugreek, salt, oil, minced garlic, and minced ginger. Whisk together until a smooth paste forms.
  2. Marinate the chicken wings: Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Add the wings to the marinade and mix well to coat all wings evenly. Cover the bowl with cling wrap and refrigerate for about 2 hours (can be left overnight for best results).
  3. Preheat and prepare air fryer: Spray the air fryer tray with cooking spray to prevent sticking. Give the marinated wings a good stir to redistribute the marinade.
  4. Cook the wings: Place the wings in the air fryer tray skin side up, leaving a little gap between each wing. Set the air fryer to 200°C (392°F) and cook for 15 minutes.
  5. Serve: Once cooked, serve the wings garnished with freshly chopped coriander. Optionally, serve with a side of yogurt sauce to balance the heat.
