  1. salted baby squid - 300 g (300 g)
  2. red Thai chili - 50 g (50 g)
  3. curly red chili - 90 g (90 g)
  4. shallots - 8 pc (8 pieces)
  5. garlic - 5 clove (5 cloves)
  6. kaffir lime leaf - 5 pc (5 pieces)
  7. peeled petai - 80 g (80 g, halved)
  8. lemongrass - 1 stalk (1 stalk)
  9. salt - 1 tsp (1 tsp)
  10. chicken powder - 1 tsp (1 tsp)
  11. MSG - 1 tsp (1 tsp, optional)
  12. sugar - 2 tbsp (2 tbsp)
  13. water - 75 ml (75 ml)

Instructions

  1. Soak Squid: Soak the salted squid in hot water for 10–30 minutes, then rinse and dry.
  2. Chop Ingredients: In a food chopper, add garlic, shallot, red Thai chili, and curly red chili. Blend until smooth.
  3. Sauté Squid: Heat oil. Sauté salted squid until fragrant. Add the chopped spices, kaffir lime leaf, and pounded lemongrass. Stir-fry over medium-high heat until cooked.
  4. Add Seasoning: Add water, salt, chicken powder, sugar, MSG, and petai. Cook briefly.
