Ingredients

  1. cucumbers - 2 (2 pieces)
  2. Cheongyang chili pepper - 1 (1 piece, sliced)
  3. salt - 1 tsp (1 teaspoon)
  4. sugar - 1 tbsp (1 tablespoon)
  5. vinegar - 2 tbsp (2 tablespoons)
  6. minced garlic - 1/2 tbsp (1/2 tablespoon)
  7. ground sesame seeds - 3 tbsp (3 tablespoons)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cucumbers: Cut off the ends of the cucumbers and remove any spines.
  2. Smash the cucumbers: Place cucumbers in a plastic bag and crush them with the back of a knife or a kitchen mallet.
  3. Tear the cucumbers: Remove the cucumbers from the bag and tear them along the grain into smaller pieces.
  4. Combine ingredients: In a bowl, mix the smashed cucumbers with the sliced Cheongyang chili pepper.
  5. Add seasoning: Add the seasoning ingredients and mix well.
