Ingredients

  1. Alexandrian okra (Arbat) - 750g (750g)
  2. perch fillet - 800g (800g)
  3. onion - 1 (1 large, chopped)
  4. garlic clove - 1 (1 large, coarsely chopped)
  5. tomato - 1 (1 large, cubed)
  6. olive oil - 4-6 tablespoons (4 to 6 tablespoons)
  7. white wine - 120g (120g)
  8. curry powder - 1 teaspoon (1 teaspoon)
  9. mustard - 1 tablespoon (1 tablespoon)
  10. water - 200g (200g)
  11. lemon juice - 1 lemon (from 1 lemon)
  12. salt - to taste (to taste)
  13. pepper - to taste (to taste)
  14. fresh parsley - to taste (chopped, for serving)
  15. lemon slices - to taste (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Onion and Garlic: Sauté the chopped onion and coarsely chopped garlic in olive oil in a frying pan.
  2. Add Okra: Add the okra to the pan with the onion and garlic mixture.
  3. Season and Add Liquids: Add salt, pepper, curry powder, mustard, white wine, and water to the pan. Mix well.
  4. Transfer to Oven Dish: Transfer the okra mixture to an ovenproof dish. Add lemon juice and cubed tomatoes on top.
  5. Bake the Okra: Bake in the oven at 180°C for 35 minutes.
  6. Prepare the Perch: Cut the perch fillet into pieces. Season with salt and olive oil.
  7. Add Perch and Bake: Place the seasoned perch on top of the baked okra. Increase the oven temperature and bake for an additional 7-10 minutes until the fish is cooked.
  8. Serve: Serve with a drizzle of olive oil, freshly ground pepper, lemon slices, and chopped parsley.
