Ingredients

  1. okra - 750g (from Alexandria, 750g)
  2. perch fillet - 800g
  3. onion - 1
  4. garlic clove - 1
  5. tomato - 1
  6. olive oil - 4-6 tablespoons (4 to 6 tablespoons)
  7. white wine - 120g
  8. curry powder - 1 teaspoon
  9. mustard - 1 tablespoon
  10. water - 200g (200g)
  11. lemon juice - 1 lemon
  12. salt - to taste
  13. pepper - to taste (for serving)
  14. olive oil - to taste (for serving)
  15. lemon slices - to taste (for serving)
  16. chopped parsley - to taste (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat and prepare: Preheat the oven to 180°C. Sauté onion and garlic in olive oil.
  2. Add okra and seasonings: Add the okra to the pan, followed by the white wine, curry powder, mustard, water, and lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Prepare the fish: Cut the perch fillet into pieces, season with salt and olive oil.
  4. Combine and bake: Transfer the okra mixture to an ovenproof dish. Place the fish on top and bake for 35 minutes. Then increase the temperature and bake for an additional 7 to 10 minutes until the fish is cooked.
