Ingredients

  1. carrots - 3 lbs (washed and trimmed)
  2. water - 8 cups (for blending)
  3. ginger - to taste (thick pieces)
  4. lime - 1 (juiced)
  5. ground cinnamon - 1/3 teaspoon (to taste)
  6. nutmeg - to taste (freshly grated)
  7. sweetened condensed milk - 3/4 tin (300 ml) (adjust sweetness to preference)
  8. pure vanilla extract - to taste (for flavor)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Carrots: Trim the tops and bottoms of the carrots and wash them thoroughly.
  2. Chop and Blend: Roughly chop the carrots and blend them in a high-speed blender with 4 cups of water until pulpy.
  3. Strain Juice: Strain the blended mixture through a cheesecloth or fine strainer to extract the juice.
  4. Add Flavors: Mix in the lime juice, ground cinnamon, grated nutmeg, and sweetened condensed milk. Stir well.
  5. Chill and Serve: Chill the juice in the fridge before serving. Optionally, serve over ice or add rum for an adult version.
