Ingredients

  2. instant yeast - 6 g (for activating)
  3. sugar - 20 g (to activate yeast)
  4. egg - 1 (for dough)
  5. milk - 30 ml (for dough)
  6. flour - watch the video to see (for the dough)
  7. salt - 3 g (for flavor)
  8. melted butter - 40 g (for dough)
  9. garlic - 2 cloves (for brushing)
  10. coriander - watch the video to see (optional, for flavor)

Instructions

  1. Activate Yeast: Mix hot water with instant yeast and sugar, let rest for 10 minutes.
  2. Prepare Egg Mixture: Beat the egg and mix with milk.
  3. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine flour and salt.
  4. Make Dough: Create a well in the flour, add yeast mixture, egg mixture, and melted butter. Mix and knead until a ball forms.
  5. Let Dough Rise: Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rise until doubled in size (1-1.5 hours).
  6. Shape Naan: Divide the dough into 6-8 pieces, shape into balls, and let rest for 15 minutes.
  7. Prepare Garlic Butter: Mix melted butter with minced garlic.
  8. Cook Naan: Roll out each ball to about 3-4 mm thick, cook in a hot pan at 150°C for 1-1.5 minutes on each side.
  9. Brush with Garlic Butter: Brush each naan with garlic butter and sprinkle with coriander if desired.
