Heat Oil: Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a hot wok until it starts smoking.

Add Rice: Add the cold rice. Break it up and toss thoroughly to combine.
Season: Sprinkle the MSG, sugar, and white pepper around the edges of the wok, then pour in the soy sauce. Toss everything well to evenly distribute the seasonings.
Stir-fry Rice: Stir-fry the rice for 3-4 minutes, or until it starts to toast slightly and is heated through. If your burner is less powerful, this may take 6-7 minutes.
