ripe cashew fruits - 4-6 fruits (use 4 to 6 ripe cashew fruits (the fleshy fruit, not the nut))
water - 1 liter (purified or cold water)
salt - 1 tablespoon (to taste, about 1 tablespoon)
sugar - 1/4 cup (about 1/4 cup, adjust to taste)
ice - to taste (for serving)
lemon juice - juice of 1 lemon (optional) (optional, for a citrus touch)
Instructions
Prepare the cashew fruits: Wash the cashew fruits thoroughly. Remove the nut and any bad or yellow parts from the fruit. Cut off the corners or tips to avoid bitterness.
Cut the fruit: Cut the fleshy part of the cashew fruit into small pieces.
Blend ingredients: Place the cashew fruit pieces in a blender. Add 1 liter of purified water, 1 tablespoon of salt, and 1/4 cup of sugar. Blend well until smooth.
Strain the mixture: Strain the blended mixture to remove fibers or lumps.
Add optional ingredients: Add lemon juice if desired and adjust sweetness to taste.
Chill and serve: Remove any foam from the top, refrigerate the drink for better flavor development, and serve chilled with ice.
