Instructions

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Peel the bitter kola to reveal the seed. Crush the bitter kola, grains of Selim, and ginger to allow them to infuse well into the tea.
  2. Simmer: Add the crushed ingredients to a saucepan of water. Place on a medium heat and allow it to simmer without boiling over, for about 6 minutes, or until it just begins to bubble.
  3. Blend and Strain: After simmering, turn off the heat and blend the mixture to intensify the flavors, especially the ginger. Strain the mixture and serve.
