Ingredients

  1. spaghetti pasta - watch the video to see (enough to fill your pot)
  2. water - watch the video to see (enough to fill the pot for boiling)
  3. salt - watch the video to see (to season boiling water)

Instructions

  1. Boil Water: Fill a pot with water and bring it to a rolling boil. Add salt to season the water.
  2. Add Whole Pasta: Place the whole spaghetti pasta into the pot without breaking it. Initially, the pasta will stick out of the pot.
  3. Submerge Pasta Gradually: Push the pasta gently into the boiling water as it softens, helping it to submerge fully without breaking.
  4. Track Cooking Time for Ends: Keep track of which end of the pasta went in first, as it will have cooked longer. When the pasta is nearly done, drape the longer end to allow the shorter end to catch up for about one minute.
  5. Finish Cooking: After compensating cooking times for the ends, drain the pasta and serve as desired.
