  1. kunai (or small spoon) - 1 (to make a divot)
  2. tuna - watch the video to see (use as needed)
  3. rice - watch the video to see (preferably sushi rice, cooked and cooled)
  4. sesame seeds - to taste
  5. scallion - 1 (finely chopped)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Rice: Cook and cool the rice as per sushi rice instructions.
  2. Shape the Onigiri: Grab a kunai or a small spoon, make a divot in the shaped rice.
  3. Fill with Tuna: Fill the divot with tuna and shape the rice nicely around it.
  4. Garnish: Sprinkle sesame seeds over the onigiri, add extra tuna on top, and garnish with a single finely chopped scallion.
