  8. ginger - 2 teaspoons (minced)

  10. mozzarella cheese - 1 pound (optional, adjust to taste)
  11. chicken breast - 2 pounds (diced into 1-inch cubes)
  12. rice cakes or noodles - watch the video to see (optional, for added texture)
  13. water - 1/4 cup

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Spicy Paste: Mix pepper flakes, pepper paste, soy sauce, cooking oil, ground black pepper, rice syrup, minced garlic, and minced ginger into a thick paste.
  2. Combine Chicken with Paste: In a large bowl, mix the diced chicken breast thoroughly with the spicy paste.
  3. Optional Add-Ins: If desired, add rice cakes or noodles to the chicken mixture.
  4. Cook the Chicken: Transfer the chicken mixture to a cast-iron pan or thick frying pan. Add water and spread evenly. Cook on medium-high heat for 10 minutes, then reduce to low heat, cover, and cook for another 10 minutes.
  5. Add Cheese and Broil: Top the chicken with mozzarella cheese and broil in a preheated oven until the cheese is golden brown and bubbly.
