  5. sea salt - 1 tablespoon (to taste)

  7. fresh basil - watch the video to see (added in two stages)
  8. parmesan cheese - watch the video to see (for serving)
  9. olive oil - watch the video to see (for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the ingredients: Chop the onion and garlic, and cut the cherry tomatoes in half.
  2. Cook the pasta: Boil water with salt and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions.
  3. Sauté the onion: In a pan, sauté the chopped onion until caramelized.
  4. Add garlic and tomatoes: Add crushed garlic and cherry tomatoes to the pan, season with salt and pepper.
  5. Blend the sauce: Use a potato masher to gently blend the tomatoes, releasing their juices.
