  2. garlic - 4 cloves (sliced)
  3. olive oil - 60 milliliters (extra virgin)
  4. red pepper flakes - 1 teaspoon (optional)
  5. parsley - a handful (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Cook the spaghetti: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. Prepare the garlic oil: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown.
  3. Combine spaghetti and garlic oil: Once the spaghetti is cooked, reserve some pasta water and drain the rest. Add spaghetti to the skillet with garlic oil.
  4. Add seasoning: Toss spaghetti with garlic oil, adding reserved pasta water as needed to create a sauce. Add red pepper flakes and chopped parsley.
