Instructions

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Cut the precooked ham into squares. Chop half an onion, a little red bell pepper, half a carrot, and garlic into small pieces. Optionally chop cilantro.
  2. Fry Vegetables: In a saucepan, heat a little oil and add the chopped onion, red bell pepper, carrot, garlic, and cilantro. Fry until vegetables are not raw.
  3. Add Spices and Nuts: Add two cinnamon sticks, almonds, and peanuts to the frying vegetables. Stir well to combine.
  4. Add Ham and Cloves: Add the cubed ham and cloves to the pan. Stir thoroughly to combine all ingredients and aromas.
  5. Add Butter and Rice: Add a little butter to prevent dryness. Then add about 1.5 cups of leftover cooked rice. Stir well to combine.
  6. Add Turmeric and Heat Through: Add turmeric to give the rice a yellow color. Continue stirring and heating everything until hot and well combined.
