Ingredients

  1. semi-sweet chocolate chips - 12 oz
  2. coconut oil - 2 tsp (divided)
  3. white chocolate chips - 16 oz
  4. thin pretzel crisps - ~20
  5. peppermint extract - 1/2 tsp
  6. peppermint candies - 15

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Base Layer: In a double boiler, add 12 oz of semi-sweet chocolate chips and 1 teaspoon of coconut oil. Mix until melted.
  2. Form the Bark: Lay parchment paper on a baking tray and spread out the melted chocolate evenly. Next, lay out flat pretzels on the chocolate for a kick of saltiness. Chill for 30 minutes.
  3. Chop Peppermints: Chop up the peppermint candies into small pieces.
  4. Prepare the Top Layer: Start another double boiler with 16 oz of white chocolate chips and 1 teaspoon of coconut oil. Mix until melted, then add 1/2 teaspoon of peppermint extract.
  5. Finish the Bark: Pour the melted white chocolate over the chilled chocolate and pretzel layer. Garnish with the chopped peppermint candies. Let cool for 30 minutes.
