Instructions

  1. Make the Spicy Green Chili Sauce: Chop the green chili peppers into small cubes using a knife for best texture. Add salt and olive oil, then mix thoroughly by hand to create a juicy, succulent sauce.
  2. Prepare the Tomato Salsa: Peel the tomatoes to transform their texture. Chop them finely, then season with salt and black pepper. Add olive oil and mix well to create a fresh tomato salsa.
  3. Prepare Pickles and Other Condiments: Slice pickles and have sour cream and mayonnaise ready for layering inside the pita.
  4. Press the Burger Patty: Place ground beef on parchment paper inside a low-tech pressing machine. Cover with parchment paper and press firmly to create a thin smash burger patty.
  5. Cook the Burger Patty: Cook the pressed burger patty on a hot surface until done to preference (watch the video for exact cooking time).
  6. Assemble the Burger in Pita: Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of the pita, then add sour cream and arrange pickles neatly. Place the cooked burger patty inside the pita.
  7. Add Cheese Crown and Fold: Place fermental cheese on top of the burger to create a crown. Fold the pita around the burger and toppings carefully to hold everything together.
  8. Add Sauces and Final Touches: Pour some of the spicy green chili sauce and tomato salsa over the folded burger inside the pita. Drizzle with olive oil for extra flavor.
