Ingredients

  1. ceremonial grade matcha - 2 scoops (two scoops)
  2. hot water - 1 ounce (about 1 ounce to dissolve matcha)
  3. Licor 43 - 1.5 ounces (1 and 1/2 ounces)
  4. Shochu (Japanese rice vodka) - 1.5 ounces (amount not specified, assumed equal to Licor 43)
  5. heavy cream - 0.75 ounces (3/4 ounce)
  6. egg white - 1 egg white (from a blanco wave egg)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Matcha: Dip two scoops of ceremonial grade matcha through about 1 ounce of hot water into a shaker.
  2. Add Liquors and Cream: Add 1.5 ounces of Licor 43 and 1.5 ounces of Shochu to the shaker, followed by 3/4 ounce of heavy cream.
  3. Add Egg White: Add one egg white to the shaker.
  4. Dry Shake: Vigorously dry shake the mixture to emulsify the egg white.
  5. Double Strain: Double strain the cocktail into a glass to remove any solids.
  6. Garnish: Garnish with an orange peel expressing espresso oils over the drink.
