Ingredients

  1. finely minced meat - 300 grams
  2. onion - 1 small (grated)
  3. parsley - to taste (finely chopped)
  4. salt - to taste (up to your taste)
  5. cinnamon - 1/4 teaspoon
  6. seven spices - 1/4 teaspoon
  7. black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  8. potatoes - 2 (thick slices)
  9. colored peppers - 1/2 green and 1/2 red (sliced)
  10. free horns - 2 (cut)
  11. vegetable oil - 1/2 cup
  12. cayenne pepper - a pinch (optional)
  13. sumac - 1 tablespoon
  14. lemon juice - to taste (or pomegranate molasses)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Meat: Mix the minced meat with grated onion, chopped parsley, salt, cinnamon, seven spices, and black pepper. Knead well and form into desired shapes.
  2. Prepare Vegetables: Slice the potatoes, colored peppers, and free horns. Cut the onion into strips.
  3. Cook Potatoes: Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan and cook the potato slices until golden.
  4. Cook Kofta: Add the kofta to the pan with potatoes and cook until they start to brown.
  5. Add Vegetables: Add the onions, peppers, and free horns to the pan. Stir carefully to avoid breaking the potatoes.
  6. Season: Season with black pepper, cayenne pepper (optional), and sumac. Add chopped parsley and stir.
  7. Finish with Lemon Juice: Finish by squeezing lemon juice over the dish or using pomegranate molasses. Turn off the heat.
  8. Serve: Serve the kofta with potatoes hot, with or without bread, and optionally with a salad.
