Ingredients

  1. mango cubes - 4 large (large cubes)
  2. raw mango cubes - 2 small (small cubes)
  3. water - 1.5 cups (for cooking mango mixture)
  4. sugar - 3/4 cup (or to taste)
  5. lemon juice - 2 tablespoons (or to taste)
  6. yellow food color - few drops (optional, few drops)
  7. chilled water - 4 cups (to dilute the blended mixture)
  8. crushed ice - watch the video to see (as required for serving)
  9. mint leaves - watch the video to see (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook Mango Mixture: In a saucepan, add mango cubes, raw mango cubes, and 1.5 cups water. Mix well and bring to a boil. Cook on medium flame for 2 minutes, then cover and cook for another 4-5 minutes.
  2. Cool Mixture: Let the cooked mango mixture cool to room temperature.
  3. Blend Ingredients: In a blending jug, add the cooled mango mixture, sugar, lemon juice, and yellow food color (if using). Blend well.
  4. Strain Mixture: Strain the blended mixture using a strainer to remove solids.
  5. Add Chilled Water: Gradually add chilled water to the strained mixture and mix well to yield about 1.5 liters.
  6. Serve: In serving glasses, add crushed ice, pour the mango frooti, garnish with mint leaves, and serve chilled.
