Ingredients

  1. Falsay (Grewia) - 300g (1 & ½ Cup) (fresh fruit)
  2. Water - ½ Cup (for blending)
  3. Sugar - 5 tablespoons (or to taste)
  4. Kala namak (Black salt) - ½ teaspoon (or to taste)
  5. Lemon juice - 1-2 tablespoons (freshly squeezed)
  6. Lemon slices - 2 (for garnish)
  7. Pineapple chunks - 2-3 (for garnish)
  8. Podina (Mint leaves) - 3-4 (fresh)
  9. Ice cubes - watch the video to see (as required)
  10. Soda water - 250ml (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Blend Falsay: In a blending jug, add grewia and water, then blend well.
  2. Strain Mixture: Strain the blended mixture with the help of a strainer into a saucepan and discard the residues.
  3. Cook Mixture: Turn on the flame, add sugar, black salt, and lemon juice, mix well, and cook on medium flame for 4-5 minutes.
  4. Cool Mixture: Let the mixture cool.
  5. Assemble Drink: In a serving glass, add lemon slices, pineapple chunks, and mint leaves, then muddle until it releases juices and becomes aromatic.
  6. Finish Drink: Add 2 tablespoons of prepared grewia puree, ice cubes, and soda water, stir well, and serve!
