  4. piloncillo - 1.5 kilos (kilo and a half)
  5. raisins - 2 cups (two cups)
  6. peanuts - 2 cups (toasted, two cups)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Piloncillo Mixture: In a small pot with water, bring to a boil. Add piloncillo, a piece of cinnamon, two cloves, and a tomato cut in half. Let it continue boiling until the piloncillo is well melted and the water is flavored.
  2. Layer the Casserole: Arrange a layer of toasted bread in a casserole. Pour some of the piloncillo mixture over the bread.
  3. Add Cheese: Sprinkle fresh cheese over the moistened bread.
  4. Add Peanuts: Add a layer of toasted peanuts.
  5. Add Raisins: Sprinkle raisins over the peanuts.
  6. Repeat Layers: Add another layer of toasted bread and repeat the layering process as desired.
  7. Final Touches: Finish with a final pour of the piloncillo mixture. Let it cool down a bit before serving.
