Ingredients

  1. lentils - 0.5 cup (half a cup)
  2. flour - 1 cup (for dough and dusting)
  3. salt - to taste (a pinch for dough, adjust to taste for dish)
  4. water - to taste (half a cup for dough, adjust as needed)
  5. yogurt - 1 kilo (1 kilo)
  6. starch - 1 tablespoon (1 tablespoon)
  7. olive oil - to taste (as needed for frying onions)
  8. large onion - 1 (sliced for frying)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Lentils: Boil half a cup of lentils until fully cooked without breaking down, then drain.
  2. Make Dough: Combine 1 cup of flour with a pinch of salt and half a cup of water to form a cohesive dough. Knead well.
  3. Roll and Cut Dough: Roll out the dough, sprinkle with flour, and cut into small pieces.
  4. Prepare Yogurt Mixture: Mix 1 kilo of yogurt with a cup of water and a tablespoon of starch. Beat well.
  5. Fry Onions: In a pan with olive oil, fry a large sliced onion until golden.
  6. Combine and Cook: Add the yogurt mixture to the fried onions, bring to a boil, then add the lentils and dough pieces. Season with salt to taste and cook until the dough is done.
