garlic bulb - 1 (whole, top sliced to expose cloves)

unsalted butter - 4.3 oz (120 g)
whole milk - 1 cup (236 ml)
heavy cream - 1/2 cup (118 ml)
Instructions
Roast Garlic: Place the whole garlic bulb in a pot or wrap in parchment paper, drizzle with olive oil, and season with salt. Roast in a preheated oven at 375°F for about 40 minutes or until soft and slightly browned.
Prepare Potatoes: Follow the same steps as Method 1 for preparing and boiling the potatoes.
Mash Potatoes: After roasting, squeeze the garlic out of its skin and mash it. Mix it into the mashed potatoes prepared as in Method 1. Add a little bit of olive oil from the roasting process for extra flavor.
Serve: Serve the mashed potatoes warm, seasoned to taste with salt.
