  4. carrot - 1/4 cup (cubed)
  5. white mushrooms - 5 (washed, dried, and cut)
  6. onion - 3/4 cup (cut into small pieces)
  7. green chili pepper - 1/2 (optional, cut into small pieces)
  8. garlic clove - 1 (minced or sliced)
  9. sausage or ham - 4 ounces (cut into chunks)
  10. cheddar cheese - watch the video to see (cut into chunks)
  11. unsalted butter - 1 tablespoon
  12. salt - 1/4 teaspoon
  13. ground black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  14. rice - 1 cup (cooked white fluffy rice)
  15. ketchup - 2 tablespoons
  16. eggs - 2
  17. sugar - 1/4 teaspoon (Sugar in the Raw®)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Wash and cut all vegetables and sausage into small pieces.
  2. Stir Fry: In a pan, melt butter and add sausage, garlic, and all vegetables except green chili pepper. Season with salt and black pepper. Add cooked rice and ketchup. Stir fry until well mixed.
  3. Add Cheese and Chili: Add chunks of cheddar cheese and optional green chili pepper into the rice mixture, mixing well.
  4. Prepare Omelette: Beat eggs with two pinches of salt and a quarter teaspoon of sugar. Strain for a smooth texture, then cook in a non-stick pan with a teaspoon of oil over medium-low heat until set.
  5. Assemble Omurice: Place the stir-fried rice on a plate and carefully cover with the omelette. Serve immediately.
