  1. chuck roast - 3 to 4 pounds (cut into large chunks)
  2. ranch dressing mix - 1 packet
  3. au jus gravy mix - 1 packet
  4. unsalted butter - 1/2 cup
  5. pepperoncini peppers - 5 to 6
  6. pepperoncini juice - 1/4 cup (optional)

  8. freshly ground black pepper - watch the video to see (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Beef: Cut the chuck roast into large chunks for even cooking.
  2. Combine Ingredients: In a slow cooker or oven-ready pot, combine the chuck roast chunks with the ranch dressing mix, au jus gravy mix, pepperoncini peppers (and juice if using), and unsalted butter.
  3. Cook: Cook in a 275°F oven for approximately 3 hours, or until the meat is tender and easily shreds.
