chuck roast - 3 to 4 pounds (cut into large chunks)
ranch dressing mix - 1 packet
au jus gravy mix - 1 packet
unsalted butter - 1/2 cup
pepperoncini peppers - 5 to 6
pepperoncini juice - 1/4 cup (optional)

Instructions
Prepare the Beef: Cut the chuck roast into large chunks for even cooking.
Combine Ingredients: In a slow cooker or oven-ready pot, combine the chuck roast chunks with the ranch dressing mix, au jus gravy mix, pepperoncini peppers (and juice if using), and unsalted butter.
Cook: Cook in a 275°F oven for approximately 3 hours, or until the meat is tender and easily shreds.
Final Seasoning: After cooking, check for seasoning and add salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Shred the meat and serve.
