  2. warm water - watch the video to see (for washing the wok)
  3. oil - 2 tablespoons (used for seasoning the wok)
  4. water - watch the video to see (used during seasoning process)

Instructions

  1. Wash the wok: Wash the outside and inside of the wok with a little bit of soap and warm water to remove any debris and factory anti-rust seals.
  2. Dry the wok: Dry the wok thoroughly after washing.
  3. Burn off factory seal: Place the wok on high heat. Keep heating until the factory seal burns off and the wok changes color from dark to a more seasoned look.
  4. Apply oil: With the heat still on high, add 2 tablespoons of oil and spread it on the sides of the wok. Keep heating until the oil burns, bonding into the wok to create a non-stick surface.
  5. Add water and discard: Add some water to the wok, then discard the water and dry the wok completely.
  6. Repeat seasoning: Repeat the oiling, burning, water adding, discarding, and drying process at least three times to fully season the wok.
