Ingredients

  1. self-rising flour - 240g
  2. granulated sugar - 2 tablespoons (plus extra for water bath)
  3. salt - 1 teaspoon
  4. Arla fresh cream cheese - 300g (plus extra for serving)
  5. water - 200g
  6. roasted sesame - 150g
  7. slices of turkey - watch the video to see (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the dough: In a bowl, mix the flour, 2 tablespoons of sugar, salt, and cream cheese. First, mix with a spoon and then use your hands until well combined.
  2. Let the dough rest: Cover the dough with cling film and let it rest for about 30 minutes to become slightly glutinous.
  3. Form the buns: Divide the dough into four pieces. Roll each piece into an oblong shape, join the edges by pressing with your hands.
  4. Prepare water bath: In a bowl, mix water with a little sugar. Dip each bun first in the water bath, then coat with roasted sesame seeds.
  5. Air fry: Place the buns in the air fryer basket. Cook at 180°C for 13 to 14 minutes until golden and crispy.
  6. Serve: Cut the buns crosswise in half, fill with cream cheese, turkey, and cheese slices. Serve warm.
