Ingredients

  1. water - ½ Cup (½ Cup)
  2. tomatoes - 2 large (cubes, 2 large)
  3. potato - 1-2 tbs (small cubes, 1-2 tbs)
  4. button red chillies - 5-6 (5-6)
  5. garlic - 3-4 cloves (3-4 cloves)
  6. chicken cubes - 2 (2)
  7. cooking oil - ½ Cup (½ Cup)
  8. potatoes - 2 large (cubes, 2 large)
  9. carrot - ½ Cup (slices, ½ Cup)
  10. cauliflower - 2 Cups (2 Cups)
  11. onion - 1 large (sliced, 1 large)
  12. ginger - 1 tbs (chopped, 1 tbs)
  13. green chillies - 2-3 (2-3)
  14. salt - 1 tsp (1 tsp or to taste)
  15. red chili powder - 1 tsp (1 tsp or to taste)
  16. turmeric powder - ½ tsp (½ tsp)
  17. cumin seeds - 1 tsp (roasted & crushed, 1 tsp)
  18. coriander powder - 1 tbs (1 tbs)
  19. fresh coriander - 2 tbs (chopped, 2 tbs)
  20. peas - ½ Cup (½ Cup)
  21. capsicum - ½ Cup (cubes, ½ Cup)
  22. garam masala powder - ½ tsp (½ tsp)
  23. dried fenugreek leaves - 1 tsp (1 tsp)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the base: In a saucepan, add water, tomatoes, potato, button red chillies, garlic, chicken cubes, mix well and bring it to boil, cover and cook for 4-5 minutes.
  2. Make the puree: Let it cool down. In a grinder, add boiled tomato mixture and grind to make a puree & set aside.
  3. Fry vegetables: In a wok, add cooking oil, potatoes and fry for 2 minutes. Add carrots and fry for 2 minutes. Add cauliflower and fry for a minute & take out in a bowl.
  4. Sauté onions: In the same wok, add onion and sauté until translucent.
  5. Add spices: Add ginger, green chillies and mix well. Add salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, coriander powder and mix well.
  6. Combine and cook: Add grinded paste, mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add fresh coriander and mix well.
  7. Final cooking: Add water, mix well and bring it to boil. Now add fried vegetables, peas, capsicum and mix well. Cover and cook on low flame for 12-15 minutes.
  8. Garnish and serve: Add garam masala powder, dried fenugreek leaves and mix. Garnish with fresh coriander & serve!
