Ingredients

  1. ginger - 3-inch piece (3-inch piece, grated and juice extracted)
  2. sugar - 3/4 cup (¾ cup or to taste)
  3. black pepper powder - 1/4 teaspoon (¼ teaspoon)
  4. Himalayan pink salt - 1/2 teaspoon (½ teaspoon or to taste)
  5. lemon juice - 3/4 cup (¾ cup or to taste)
  6. water - 1 cup (1 cup)
  7. lemon slices - watch the video to see (as required for ice spheres and garnish)
  8. mint leaves - watch the video to see (as required for ice spheres and garnish)
  9. soda water - 250 ml (250 ml for assembling)

Instructions

  1. Extract ginger juice: Place muslin cloth in a bowl, grate the ginger and squeeze out the juice completely. Set aside.
  2. Prepare ginger lemon syrup: In a saucepan, add sugar, black pepper powder, Himalayan pink salt, 2 tablespoons of ginger juice, lemon juice, and water. Mix well and bring to a boil. Cook on medium flame until the sugar dissolves completely.
  3. Cool the syrup: Remove the saucepan from heat and let the syrup cool completely.
  4. Prepare ice spheres: In an ice sphere mold tray, add lemon slices and mint leaves. Cover with another tray and pour the prepared lemon ginger syrup into the mold. Freeze overnight.
  5. Assemble the drink: In a serving glass, add the prepared ice sphere (ice bomb) and pour soda water over it. Stir gently.
  6. Garnish and serve: Decorate with additional lemon slices and mint leaves. Serve immediately.
