  6. orange blossom water - 1/4 cup
  7. water mixed with loose saffron - watch the video to see (can be replaced with just water)
  8. cornstarch - watch the video to see (for rolling)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: Mix two cups of flour, a pinch of salt, a little baking powder, a small spoon of powdered milk, a quarter cup of melted butter, a quarter cup of orange blossom water, and water mixed with loose saffron (or just water). Let the mixture rest.
  2. Divide and Roll the Dough: Divide the dough into two. Roll it with cornstarch until thin.
  3. Shape the Loaves: Start rolling the thin dough first tightly, then normally. Add a little water to seal the edges. Cut with a razor and roll each piece with your finger, then flatten slightly with a rolling pin.
  4. Fry the Loaves: Fry the loaves until bubbles form and the dough is visible while still hot.
  5. Final Touches: Dip the fried loaves in honey and sprinkle almonds over them.
