Instructions

  1. Prepare Yeasted Pancake Batter: Make a yeasted pancake batter by combining flour, yeast, milk, and eggs. Beat the batter vigorously to make it thick and give it body for a bun-like texture.
  2. Cook Pancakes: Cook the yeasted pancakes on a griddle or pan until golden brown and cooked through, forming the buns for the burger.
  3. Prepare Burger Patty: Mix ground beef with dried sage, dried garlic powder, dried onion powder, salt, and pepper. Form into patties.
  4. Cook Burger Patty: Cook the burger patties to desired doneness on a grill or skillet.
  5. Roast Bacon and Glaze: Roast thick-cut bacon until crispy. Brush with maple syrup towards the end of roasting to create a sweet glaze.
  6. Fry Egg: Fry eggs sunny side up in Danish creamery butter until the whites are set but yolks remain runny.
  7. Assemble Breakfast Burger: Place the burger patty on a pancake bun, add the maple-glazed bacon, and top with the sunny side up egg. Cover with the other pancake bun and serve immediately.
