Ghee Sweet Pongal Recipe - Banana Dosa | Chakkara Pongali - Akkaravadisal recipe

Sweet pongal is a very popular sweet in south of India though it is origin from Tamil Nadu today it is made in all southern states and there are so many variations and combinations like Akkaravadisal, Chakkara Pongali the use of ghee butter is very important and the popularity of the dish is due to use in all the popular festivals, Sakkaraippongal the use of moong dal and the rice with a combinations of dry fruits coconut and milk. Mysore Masala Dosa With Chutneys Red Chutney Ingredients: Chana Dal - 1 tb spn Fried Chana Dal - ½ cup Garlic - 1 tb spn Ginger - 1 tb spn Begdi Chillies (soaked) - ½ cup Tomatoes - 1 cup Oil - As Required Salt - To Taste Method:- First heat a pan add oil,chana dal, fried chana dal,red chillies,garlic,ginger,soaked begdi chillies,tomatoes and some salt and cook it. Once it cools down grind it into a coarse paste. Yellow Chutney Ingredients: Red Chillies - 1 tb spn Garlic - 1 tb spn Shallots - ½ cup Fried Chana Dal - 1 tb spn Turmeric - 1 tsp Grated Coconut - 1 cup Salt - To Taste Oil - As Required Method:- First Heat a pan add oil,red chillies,garlic,shallots,fried chana dal,turmeric and check seasoning by adding salt. Let it cool down and blend it into a thick paste. Green Chutney Ingredients: Cumin seeds - 1 tsp Tamarind - 1 tsp Garlic - 2 tsp Mint - ½ cup Coriander Leaves - ½ cup Spinach(Blanched) - 1 bunch Coconut(Grated) - 1 cup Fried chana dal - 2 tb spn Salt - To Taste Oil- As Required Method: Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds,tamarind,garlic,coriander leaves,blanched spinach saute it for a minute and add grated coconut cook it for a minute,in the last add fried chana dal.let it cool down and blend it into paste. Mysore Dosa Masala: Cumin seeds - 1 tsp Mustard seeds - 1 tsp Cashew nuts - 1 tb spn Curry leaves - 1 spring Ginger(chopped)- 1 tsp Onions - ¼ cup Green Chillies - 2 tsp Potatoes(mashed) - 2 Salt - To Taste Oil - As Required Method: Heat oil in a pan add mustard,cumin seeds,red chillies,cashew nuts,curry leaves,ginger,onions,turmeric,green chillies and saute it for sometime,now add mashed potatoes and saute it for a minute and switch off the flame. Now using dosa batter,make big dosa on a pan add mysore dosa masala to it and spread the chutneys on it and serve it with chutney and sambar.
